Patrick and Mary Hewitt
Mary and I have
been married for 15 years. We were faced with marital
struggles in our marriage in 2003 but kept it to ourselves;
to the outside world everything seemed perfect. We started
to feel defeated and felt like
we had exhausted all avenues in saving our marriage.
We decided to go on a mission trip with our church to
Mexico; we came back with a new perspective on life. I
suggested we move to Texas so I could be
more involved in missionary work. I am now a mission
coordinator and work with several pastors from up north.
We had watched Pastor Hagee on TV, and his messages helped
us through our storms. We vowed that once we got settled we
would visit Cornerstone Church. We left Milwaukee Wisconsin
and arrived in June of 2005 on a Monday, we called
Cornerstone Church that afternoon and were given the name of
the cell leaders in our area, we attended cell group that
Wednesday and have been active cell members ever since.
Our cell leaders Jesse and Ruth Flores were very supportive,
in our spiritual needs, and we felt an instant bond.
We believe it was the Lord that brought us here. He has revealed to us the importance of being involved in a cell group. It was the faithfulness of our cell group that contributed to our commitment, in completing the School of Leaders. Mary and I started our cell group in January 2008. We are honored to be under the Asher Tribe Leaders Chuck and Annette Ham, and are looking forward with enthusiasm in serving the Lord in this area. We commend Cornerstone Church for servicing it members with this type of ministry, it is a vital tool to one’s spiritual needs and growth.
